What to Expect

We like to keep things interesting at Veritas.  We have some great elements that are constant, but we like to switch things up every now and then too!

Some of the constants you will find:

A welcoming atmosphere  We know going anywhere for the first time can be awkward and maybe even scary.  We're not going to pretend that it's not.  What we do do is make sure that someone says hi to you and tries to help you not feel lost.  We were all here for the first time once, so don't worry about it!

Amazing people  Read some of their stories.  We have some pretty great people around here!

Veritas Kids  We have some amazing people who are EXCITED to care for and teach your kids!  We offer Veritas Kids for ages 0-5 years old.  We have safety procedures in place to make sure your kids are safe and well cared for while you are in "big church".  They also get to play, sing, learn and be loved!

Teaching  The bible can sometimes be hard to understand.  The goal in our teaching is to bring to the bible to life.  To unveil how the stories, poems, history, and letters that make up scripture intertwine into our daily lives. 

Music  Music is expression.  When we use music in our gatherings it is there to help us express things about God and to God that maybe we couldn’t otherwise.  So feel free to join in and sing or sit back and just listen.

Stations  This is a time in our gathering when we can engage with the message in a different way.  These are optional and you can participate if you want to, or just sit back and enjoy the music.  Some people learn best by listening, others learn best by doing.  We want to make room for both ways of learning and experiencing.  Often we will have stations set up that may be art, journaling, taking something home to remind us of the message, or many other options.  You never know what may happen!
