Life Transformation Groups

This is a way to meet with a smaller group of people than just Sunday mornings. On Sunday mornings we get to celebrate what is going on in the lives of those who are a part of Veritas.

LTGs are groups of 2-3 people who meet for about one hour per week. Once a fourth person is added the group multiplies to form two new groups.

LTGs are made up of the same gender.

LTGs require no curriculum, leader, or training.

Who is an LTG for?

There are only two requirements for someone to attent an LTG:

1. You must need Jesus in your life. You may or may not have a relationship with Him, that doesn't matter. All you need to acknowledge is you need Him.
2. You must be faithful to the process. You must be willing to fufill the components of an LTG and be honest with your partner(s).

What does an LTG do?

There are three essentials of LTGs:

BIBLE READING

The group will determine what to read before the next time they meet.  The Goal is to read 15-30 chapters of the Bible per week.

Sometimes this is a book of the bible such as Luke or Proverbs or reading a shorter book a couple times in one week. You are not a failure if you don't ready everything in one week! It should actually take a group 3-4 weeks for all the member to all finish all the reading. If you don't finish God isn't done showing you what he wants to show you from that chunk of scripture. That is a good thing!

Suggested places to start:
The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Proverbs could be a great starting point.

PRAYER

Prayer is just talking to God. Each week when an LTG gets together they will share 2-3 people they know who don't have a relationship with God yet—it may even be you! You will pray for them each week within your LTG and on your own. These people are prayed for specifically and repetitively.

LTG member should also pray for one another and the things going on in their lives, but this should not be the only item of prayer. LTGs must continually be praying for people who don't yet have a relationship with God.

CONFESSION

LTG member share what God showed them in the Bible reading for that week and also take time to confess sin to one another. Included in the downloadable brochure is a portion you can tear off and keep in your Bible to be used as a guide. Each week when you get together you will share what God showed you and go through these questions. This is done in mutual confidence and is designed to help transfor you to be more like Jesus. This is a great thing! No matter what you believe about God, most people that living according to His teaching leads to a better life!
